Programs for Kids Birth to High School

Nursery (Birth to 2 yrs.)

Sundays 8:00am, 9:30am and 11:00am | Mondays at 6:15pm

The nursery at Curtis Lake is a safe environment for infants and toddlers ages birth to 2 years. A full staff of volunteers works hard to provide a nurturing environment that engages children at their level of development.

We know that leaving your child for the first time can be overwhelming. The volunteers in our nursery have been chosen for this age group because of their love for infants and toddlers and their training to care for all of the needs of your child. When you arrive to drop off be sure to let the greeter know any information about feeding, napping, or diapering that will help us care more effectively for your child.

A Few Things to Remember

  • Please bring diapers, bottles, and pacifiers.
  • Please bring any special blankets that will soothe your child through the morning
  • Please be sure to label all items that belong to your child.
  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes before service. This allows time for check in and to grab some coffee.

Firefly Hollow (2 Yrs. to Pre-K)

Sundays 8:00am, 9:30am and 11:00am | Mondays at 6:15pm

Firefly Hollow is a weekly environment created especially for your pre-school aged child (ages 2 – Pre-K). We know that young children are learning and growing in amazing ways. Every Sunday, we take advantage of this unique opportunity to introduce them to God and the love He has for them.

Nothing is more important for your children than to begin to understand who God is. We want them to know God as their Creator, their Heavenly Father, and their Friend. With this in mind, we want all pre-schoolers to master three key truths before they leave Firefly Hollow.

The Core Teaching

  • God made me.
  • God loves me.
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Maine Event (K-4th Grade)

Sundays at 9:30am and 11:00am | Mondays at 6:15pm

In Maine Event, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud and good leaders always care.

  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

During Maine Event, kids see how God’s word fits into their lives, learn how to talk to Him, and build lasting friendships. That’s why it’s important to make sure your child connects with the same friends, same leader, at the same hour – EVERY SUNDAY and MONDAY! Maine Event is available during our 2nd and 3rd service and Monday night.

Middle School Mayhem | Sundays 9:30am and 11:00am

Middle School Mayhem is our Sunday morning environment for 5th-8th grade students. They will experience a fun environment with games, music, teaching and a raffle!

Middle School Small Groups | Wednesdays 7:00pm

During the small group semesters, we have an opportunity for Middle School Students to be a part of a small group community. The groups will gather in the lobby and separate by grade and gender for small group discussion.  Leaders will be at Curtis Lake 45 minutes prior to the start of small groups for students whose parents are in a Wednesday night group.

High School Ministry | Mondays 7:30pm

Every Monday night, High School students and leaders will gather in The Alley for a time of worship, teaching and small groups. This group runs year-round and is designed for 9-12 grade students.

Additional High School Small Groups

There is no need to sign up for these groups, simply show up and join in the conversation!

  • Wednesday Girl’s Only Group: 6:30pm-8:00pm (Meet in the Lobby with Stephanie Ellis)
  • Before You Go: A group designed for High School Seniors. This group meets monthly for dinner and discussion. Dates will be posted on the Curtis Lake Students Instagram account.

Student Volunteering

Not only is volunteering a great way for a teen to get plugged in at Curtis Lake, but our church thrives when students volunteer in significant areas of service.  Below are a list of opportunities for teens to get involved in serving their church.

  • Serving in Nursery or Pre-School
  • Co-leading a small group in Kidz Church
  • Serving on our media/production team in both Kidz Church, the Alley or in the Main Auditorium.
  • Special event child care
  • Special event set up and clean up
  • Set build team
