A few years ago, I decided to set up a fire pit in my backyard.  I invited eight of my neighbors, some of whom also attend Curtis Lake, over for a fire one night and to this day we still get together, weather permitting, to gather around the fire pit and share what’s going on in our lives.

During COVID, it was a place where we could meet outside and still feel safe at a distance but not isolated from the world. It truly has been a blessing for me to have my neighbors during this time of uncertainty.
