202O, my perfect time for my first mission trip ever. I felt Ethiopia and our beloved partners calling me to come. I stepped out of my comfort zone and followed this huge tug at my heart. Seeing the faces come to life that I’ve heard so much about from prior teams was life changing. I was not in the healthiest place emotionally or physically. Being with Youth Impact, Selamta and Young Life and hearing their stories of struggles turned to victory gave me the encouragement and hope I needed to start my year anew. I will forever be grateful to everyone who walked alongside me and crossed my path. Thank you, Ethiopia for bringing my smile back. Hugs, smiles, prayer and coffee go a long way.
Kim lives in Springvale with her fur babies Harlee (dog) and Bella (cat). She does in-home care for the elderly, helping them live their best life.
